Generally, Teddy Bear puppies should start their deworming regimen once they reach one month old. For puppies younger than six months, it's recommended to deworm them monthly to support their healthy growth. After six months, Teddy Bear dogs can be dewormed every three months.

The timing of deworming for Teddy Bear puppies is closely linked to the life cycle of parasites. Typically, it takes around 2 to 3 months for parasites to develop from eggs to adult worms within a dog’s body. Therefore, it’s advised to administer deworming treatments every three months for both puppies and adult dogs to maintain optimal parasite control.
Deworming schedules may need to be adjusted based on individual circumstances. If your dog has a habit of eating dirty items from the ground or consuming their own feces, it's best to deworm monthly before six months old and then every three months after that. It’s crucial to avoid administering deworming and vaccinations simultaneously. While some dogs may experience diarrhea after deworming (which is normal), this can still interfere with the effectiveness of vaccines, as a dog's immunity is typically lower for 7-10 days post-vaccination. To avoid any unnecessary risk, it is best to allow your puppy to adjust to a new environment for at least 7 days before deworming them. It's preferable to complete vaccinations first and then wait 10 days before deworming.
