However, it's crucial to verify local regulations, as wildlife laws can vary significantly. For other parrot species, obtaining a wildlife domestication and breeding license is generally mandatory.

1. Cockatiel
Cockatiels are typically medium grey in color with lighter underparts. They have distinctive white patches on their wings. Female Cockatiels often display a row of small yellow spots under their wings, which are absent in males. Some color mutations also exist, such as the lutino cockatiel, known for its pale yellow plumage. They are known for their gentle and affectionate nature, making them popular as pets. Cockatiels are also relatively quiet compared to some other parrot species, which can be a significant advantage for apartment dwellers.
2. Lovebird
Lovebirds are well-known for their social and affectionate nature. They form strong pair bonds with their mates and are known to be inseparable, often staying together for life, hence their name. Due to this strong pair-bonding nature, Lovebirds should ideally be kept in pairs or groups. They are active and playful birds, known for their colorful plumage and charming antics. Their care is relatively straightforward, and they are suitable for beginner bird owners.
3. Budgerigar (Parakeet)
The Budgerigar, also called parakeet, is a small, seed-eating species often kept as a pet. They primarily feed on seeds. A diet of mixed seeds is usually sufficient, but you can also supplement it with vegetables or a mineral block. Their diet should be primarily based on a mix of millet, canary seeds, and oats. Small amounts of fresh vegetables and leafy greens should be offered daily, and grit or cuttlebone should be provided for calcium. Due to their small size, it is not advisable to feed them sunflower seeds and other large-sized foods, which are more appropriate for larger parrots.
