Corgi

Also Known As: Welsh Corgi

Corgi Breed Type: Small Guard Dog

Physical Characteristics of Corgi:
The ears are medium-sized, erect, with rounded tips. Eyes are medium-sized, almond-shaped, and dark brown. The eyes do not protrude, and the eye rims are dark with clear eye corners. The muzzle is elegant and compact, naturally hairless in certain areas due to genetic traits. The chest is moderately wide and tapers down between the front legs. The hindquarters are muscular and firm but slightly narrower than the shoulders. The body is slightly smaller compared to the Cardigan Corgi.

Corgi Coat Colors:
The coat is medium-length with a dense, short undercoat and a longer, coarser outer coat that protects against various environmental conditions. The fur length varies across the body, with thicker and longer hair around the neck, chest, and shoulders, while the body coat lies flat. The fur on the underside of the forelimbs, lower abdomen, and hindquarters is slightly longer. Ideally, the coat is straight. The breed is prone to shedding. Common coat colors include light tan, golden short fur, red short fur, fawn and white short fur.

Corgi Temperament:
Corgis are naturally friendly, brave, and bold. They are neither timid nor aggressive and exhibit a calm, gentle temperament.
